13h00: Worldview & Cultural Orientation at EM Base In this session we will examine how God has blessed the continent of Africa. Then we will turn to a paradox: Why, if Africa is the wealthiest continent on the face of the earth in terms of her natural resources, is she also the most impoverished? What lies at the root of this quandary? We will also look at the concept of worldview. In addition to seeing how worldview works, this session also explores the fundamental building blocks of culture. Satan lies not only to individuals, but also to nations. We look specifically at how he uses two wrong worldviews – secularism and animism – to lead whole cultures down the pathway of bondage, underdevelopment, poverty and destruction. He replaces Kingdom building blocks of culture with his counterfeit building blocks, resulting in the impoverishment and enslavement of nations.

08h30: Visit Kairos / Food Parcels / Affies Kitchen / Beterskap Old Age Home / Afterschool Program Kairos originated because of an eye surgeon that did an operation on a learner from Laerskool Generaal Nicolaas Smit. The surgeon put it into words by saying: “We must thank GOD for this and that HE deserves all the glory as this was a KAIROS moment where GOD touched lives and changed them forever.” Kairos has many different projects, but our Primary purpose is not only to change a life but a whole posterity. Kairos was started in 2016 with the idea of supporting children from pre-school, primary school and high school to develop their full potential. At Kairos Changing Lives we believe that poverty can be broken by education and qualifications. In the West of Pretoria where Kairos Changing Lives is located, poverty, homelessness, hunger and even drug use is a huge problem. Kairos help with relocation of children at risk by placing them in a safe, supportive environment. Kairos also supports about 450 families per month by providing them with food parcels. Kairos also receives clothing donations, which we also give to our 450 families and/or people in need.
